If desired, place lumbar pad inside brace pouch so that the desired support level is facing inward, and the logo is upright. 2. Release secondary straps from main body. 3. Use main body pull-pockets to center lumbar pouch on the back, and secure brace around waist. 4. Use secondary strap pull-pockets to apply desired compression, and secure straps to main body.

Overall the design is flexible enough to be functional and adjustable. Simple on and off strap and then fine tune with side straps how tight you want it. Honestly after reviewing it I would probably purchase this before competitors. I received this product as part of a My-Take research study.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Kscov from Modern brace that feels good and looks good. The feel of this brace was so much better than others that I have tried. It looks modern and feels good. The mesh pocket to put the cold/heat pack is a wonderful addition. I can wear this while moving heavy things is a welcome stability for my back. If my back is hurting, I cam put the brace on and thrown in the cold/heat pack to help my back feel better. The straps are nice and easy to adjust. This is a must have for lower back issues. Rated 5 out of 5 by beeeeeeee from Comfort and perfect fit with a built in gel back I received this in exchange for my honest review. I have pore core stregth and multiple diisc herniations. This brace was so supportive. The back part is cut lower than other back braces giving a better, comfortable fit without the digging. The bonus was the gel pack. It fit in the sleeve and I kept it in fridge to be cool. I slept like a baby after using the brace with the chilled gel pack. It is the most comfortable, adjustable back brace.

The combination of hot and cold options provide immediate relief no matter the treatment you are looking for and needing. It is very light weight and comfortable to wear for long periods of time. Rated 5 out of 5 by LGraham from Very good support I've been wearing this brace for about two weeks - two weeks in which I've actively been preparing my garden for seeding. The brace has made all the difference in the world as to the amount of time I've been able to accomplish this work because I haven't experienced the usual 2-3 days of down time after each day of hoeing and bending. The only minus I could give this brace is that from top to bottom it's just a bit too wide to sit comfortably beneath my breasts; that said, it's not too uncomfortable to wear and is much more comfortable than I'd be feeling if I were doing the work without wearing a brace. The addition of the hot/cold insert has been a real blessing at the end of each day.

I would have given this a 5-star review because the reversible lumbar support feels very good and it's the right size, plus the idea of supplying a hot/cold gel pack puts it light-years ahead of the competition, but there are some improvements which need to be made. I'll rate these features on a scale of 1 to 5: A) The overall build, features, quality and durability. - Rating 5 B) The "pockets" on the ends of the main belt to assist in pulling it tight; a great idea for those of us with injured wrists, hands, etc. - Rating 5 C) There should be a hook-and-loop fastener on the inside of the main belt because it slips out when you're trying to tug it in to get the outside hook-and-loop belt fastener positioned. - Rating 4. D) The hook-and-loop fasteners for the pocket which contains the lumbar support and the hot/cold gel pack. They are quite difficult to grasp once you have the belt on. - Rating 3 E) The hot/cold insertable gel pack - I will rate it by its performance as first hot and then cold: Hot: The gel fluid falls all the way down and won't stay spread out over the bag. - Rating 1. Cold: I put this in my freezer at -3 degrees F and it froze nice and semi-solid. It held the cold for hours and I loved this feature. It felt extremely good on my back. I've never seen it before in back braces. - Rating 5. Now I will give some suggestions as to what I would like to see Mueller incorporate into this product. 1) For the belt which holds the inserts, a better choice would have been "drawstrings" with hook-and-loop fasteners at the end of them which allow you to easily grab them, pull them tight and fasten to the outer belt. 2) Mueller should supply two separate gel packs, one for cold (which works great in its current form) and one for hot that should have the gel sealed in squares so as to prevent the gel from collecting down at the bottom. 3) Another reason for supplying 2 gel packs is that if you heated the pack but then want to alternate with cooling (a recognized form of therapy), you'll have to wait hours for the warm pack to freeze. I previously reviewed a wrist brace from Mueller and forgot to suggest what a great idea it would be for them to somehow incorporate cooling gel technology for that product. I love how sturdy and durable it is and the stability it provides during workouts, lifting heavy objects or even just at times when I feel that my posture needs some help. The extra lumbar support is a great reminder when I feel it and the optional hot or cold insert is perfect when needed. I would definitely recommend this brace. Rated 2 out of 5 by lltt from it didn't work for me but it may work for you? I cound't wear this under my clothing,(it pinched me and didn't feel right). I did wear it over my tshirt and it didn't allow the cold pack to work but it does help with posture. I wore it for more than 2 weeks straight and even tried sleeping with it on but it wasn't flexible to do that well. I didn't help with my low back pain but it may be able to help other people.

Rated 5 out of 5 by baby from Hot/Cold Supportive Back Brace My first reaction when I took this brace out of the box was that it was going to be too big. But when I put it on and adjusted it, it was fine, and I do recognize that it's a one-size-fits-most. It can be difficult to adjust the wraps on a back brace, but this one has finger pockets that make it easier to get a good grip and make a tight, supportive fit. I prefer not to wear a back brace when I exercise, especially since one of the main reasons for exercising is to increase my core strength so that my back doesn't hurt... But I wanted to see if using the cold gel pack in the brace would keep my lower back muscles from getting as sore when I walk. It definitely seemed to help, and using just the reversible lumbar pad was also helpful. The gel pack stayed cold during my walk, after being in the freezer the prescribed 1-1/2 hours. I didn't try heating the pack, because the weather is too hot here to even think about adding extra heat to a back brace. It's a nice feature to be able to use the same pack for hot and cold, rather than deal with different packs. In sum, this is an excellent back brace, easy to put on and adjust to the desired level of support, and has the added advantages of a hot/cold gel pack, and a reversible ridgid/padded lumbar pad (the gel pack and lumbar pad fit nicely into a pouch at the back with a velcro closure). Rated 5 out of 5 by Catwoman from Confort, Support and Relief Having lower back issues because of an ATV accident, I was excited to try this product to relieve aches and pains that arise from overuse and normal day to day activities. The brace was made from quality material and had finger pockets to allow for easy application and adjustment providing a comfortable wear (and it stays in place). Not only did it deliver the relief needed, it also has the removeable lumbar support and plastic stays to allow for great posture. A big plus is that it is versatile and can be worn alone, with the lumbar support or with the hot/cold pack (which may seem ridgid at first, but will contour to your back as you wear); so any manner in which you need relief, this is a brace worth trying. I would definitely recommend it! I received this product as part of a My-Take research study.

I did like that you could add heat or cold easily. That was a nice feature that I used often. I just wish I could wear it for longer when needed.

I am disabled and spend 90% of the day in my recliner, so when I do yard work or things around the house, I can simply sneeze and there I go back to my chair. So when My-Take sent me this brace to try out, before I received it, my thought was just another back brace. When I unpacked it, it seemed bulky and would be a challenge. The support insert is one of the best parts because with being in a chair all day, it really helps with posture. The brace feels good against the skin. Perfect timing to try out a lumbar support back brace since it is springtime and I have lots of yard work to get done. I put this on the first day and went out to mow and weed eat. I have a riding mower, and the brace helped give better posture, not slumped over. I love weed eating but hate the pain afterward. This brace did the trick, the same thing helped with standing. Over the past 2 weeks, I've done more yard work than what would take me a month. I highly recommend this brace. I received this product as part of a My-Take research study. Even if I did not and it was recommended to me, it is worth the cost.

Provides GREAT support and stays in place even during strenuous activity like chopping and moving piles of wood!! The included hot/cold pack is a GREAT addition for after activities in order to reduce inflammation and swelling and/or reduce muscle soreness. Would ABSOLUTELY recommend!! I started the next day wearing it outside to work in the yard almost daily since receipt of it. I usually had a backache at the end of working outside. The back brace provided excellent support and I found that I could work longer outside without a backache.

Rated 5 out of 5 by john from Comfortable to wear I like how this product tightens around your lower back and prevent your from slouching at your rib cage. it has adjustable straps that can be tightened or loosened depending on how comfortable you want to wear it. i have noticed a keep my back straighter and it has helped to relieve some pain from bending over too much. i wear it about 3 hours a day and hardly notice it is on. I absolutely loved using htis new Lumbar Back Brace with Cold Hot Pack..It was a game changer for me when I had to pick up heavy objects and help my eldery parents with moving! It fit snugly and supported my back with a type of firm yet comfortable support I have never felt before! It fit on me like a glove and never bunched up or slipped downwards while in use like so many others do! I love that there is a sp ecial cold/hot pack, as well, to help prevent pain from even starting to begin with and ease pain as it starts to develop..except, I never felt pain while using this brace, despite lifting some pretty heavy pieces of furniture along with my spouse..He used our old brace and had some back pain for a couple of days after, but not me! It was hard to get comfortable, hard to sleep, and just took a lot of energy out of me. I tried this back brace and it made such a difference. I loved how it came with a cold/hot pad that you could use interchangeably. It was comfortable to wear and even helped with my posture a bit since the back had the brace it kept me more upright than I normally am during the day. I noticed a big difference in how I felt after I would wear the brace. It has relieved a lot of pain for me and made my days much more bearable. I would recommend to anyone experiencing back pain. Soft and comfortable to wear and when pain is overwhelming the hot and cold pack works well to ease the discomfort.
